Officers and staff from Helston Police are aware of a recent social media post regarding burglaries in Helston which may have caused concern within the community. We would like to reassure the public that an individual has been identified and interviewed in connection with an incident at Trevenson Road, Helston on 11 February 2026. Following enquiries, it has been established that the address was not specifically targeted and the circumstances do not amount to a burglary. We would like to thank members of the public who contacted us with information and raised their concerns. Community information is vital and we appreciate your continued support. Crime Prevention Advice Residents are reminded to take simple steps to help secure their property: • Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when at home. • Remove keys from locks and keep them out of sight. • Use outdoor lighting where possible. • Consider installing CCTV or a doorbell camera. • Avoid leaving valuables on display. • Cancel deliveries or ask a neighbour to collect parcels if you are away.
